Fix Techtonica Bug: Filter Inserter
Techtonica is a first-person factory automation game set beneath the surface of an alien planet. In this game, players can work alone or in co-op to build factories, gather resources, research new technologies, mold the destructible terrain, establish a base of operations, and uncover long-forgotten secrets.
The Bug
I’ve been facing a pretty weird issue in Techtonica. I built a new floor on my factory and placed a building, belt, and a filter inserter. However, when it came to the moment of interacting with the filter inserter to set the filter, I just couldn’t do it.
No matter if I looked at it from above, close, or far away, and even after saving, exiting, and reloading the game, I still couldn’t interact with the filter inserter.
The Workaround
After some experimentation, I found a workaround that allowed me to interact with the inserters. I made a hole in my floor measuring 2×1 and placed stairs in it, allowing me to go inside my floor. From this hole, somehow I can interact with the inserters.
Interestingly, I did not encounter this issue with the ground level or the first floor, but only with the second floor of my factory.
Tracking and Resolution
I hope that this bug can be tracked down and resolved in a future update of Techtonica. It can be frustrating for players who encounter this issue, especially when it disrupts the gameplay and progression.
By addressing and fixing this bug, the developers can provide a smoother and more enjoyable experience for players. As Techtonica is a game focused on factory automation and resource management, the ability to interact with and configure inserters is crucial for efficient factory operation.
Players invest time and effort into building their factories and establishing a base of operations. When they encounter a bug like this, which prevents them from properly utilizing a key feature like the filter inserter, it hampers their progress and may lead to frustration and dissatisfaction with the game.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the bug in Techtonica that prevents players from interacting with the filter inserter on the second floor of their factories is a significant issue that needs to be addressed. The workaround of creating a hole in the floor to access the inserter is not ideal and disrupts the gameplay flow.
By listening to the feedback and experiences of players, the developers of Techtonica can identify and fix this bug, improving the overall gameplay experience for everyone. The game’s focus on automation and resource management relies heavily on the smooth functioning of key elements like the filter inserter.
I eagerly look forward to a future update that addresses this bug and allows players to enjoy Techtonica without encountering this frustrating issue. With the bug resolved, players can fully immerse themselves in the alien world, build efficient factories, and uncover the secrets hidden beneath the surface.
